Team Insights
In addition to the personal insights available to all users, individuals in managerial roles can access manager-level insights, also referred to as teamwork habits or team insights. These insights arecentered around collective data and trends derived from team members and are presented in an anonymized format. These trends may encompass work-related behaviors, such as the extent of email engagement beyond regular working hours. As a manager, you might come across data that indicates a potential lack of interaction between you and one of your team members. In such cases, a suggestion might be made to initiate a regular 1:1 meeting schedule to ensure consistent managerial support and periodic check-ins.
It’s worth noting that team insights are exclusively accessible to individuals who have direct reports configured in Azure Active Directory or whose data has been updated by an administrator. The availability of team insights relies on the organizational structure information provided via the manager attribute in Azure AD.
Organization Insights
The highest-level perspective of insights data is known as organization insights (sometimes referred to as organization trends). This data is accessible to individuals such as group managers or business leaders. Once again, it’s essential to emphasize that organizational insights are presented in an anonymized format. They offer valuable information on employee well-being, meeting effectiveness, and the quality of manager- employee relationships. Leveraging this data, Viva Insights provides recommendations aimed at fostering improved work-life balance, more efficient and productive meetings, and stronger manager-employee connections. These insights can also be visualized using Power BI, enhancing the reporting experience.
To access organizational insights data, it’s necessary to hold the Insights Business Leader role within Viva Insights or be designated as a group manager.
